Taliban-controlled state TV reported that 10 civilians, including women and children, were killed and 13 others injured in Pakistani military attacks on the Urgun and Barmal districts of Paktika province.
According to the report, the strikes were carried out on Friday evening by Pakistani forces, hitting several civilian homes in border areas. Local teams were transferring the wounded to nearby medical centres, and officials warned the death toll could rise.
The attacks came shortly after the expiry of a 48-hour ceasefire between Pakistan and the Taliban. The Taliban has not yet issued an official response to the latest incident.
